Important corporate status disclosure

Asha Old Clothes Buyer is NOT a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), charitable trust, or donation-funded organization. We are a private, commercial textile collection, reuse, and recycling company.

Customers voluntarily choose whether to Donate or Sell their clothes. Because we operate as a private corporate venture to maintain our collection fleet and recycling logistics, no donation receipt, tax exemption certificate (such as 80G benefit), or charitable tax exemption benefit is provided.

01

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, browsing, registering on, or utilizing the Asha Old Clothes Buyer portal (oldclothesbuyer.com), mobile application, or scheduling any physical doorstep clothing collection service, you explicitly agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms govern your entire relationship with our company and define our mutual responsibilities. If you do not agree to all provisions within this document, you are strictly prohibited from using our doorstep services or accessing our booking software.

02

About Asha Old Clothes Buyer

Asha Old Clothes Buyer is a premier commercial circular textile platform dedicated to reducing carbon footprints and advancing circular textile economies. We operate as a full-service grading and logistics operator that facilitates doorstep collection, sanitization, sorting, and green distribution of unused or old garments, home fabrics, and footwears. Our infrastructure channels discarded fabrics back into active circles of use, raw material reclaiming, and commercial fiber recycling.

03

Eligibility to Use Our Services

Our services are exclusively available to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and possess the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. Minor individuals under 18 years of age are strictly prohibited from creating accounts, submitting bookings, or initiating pickups independently, unless they do so under the direct guidance, authorization, and active presence of a parent or legal guardian during the doorstep pickup.

04

Service Availability

Asha Old Clothes Buyer operates on-site collection fleets within designated municipal sectors. Our specialized doorstep pickup services are currently available only within:

  • Thane Municipal Limits (Thane West, Thane East, Majiwada, Ghodbunder Road, Kalwa, Mumbra, etc.)
  • Navi Mumbai Municipal Limits (Vashi, Nerul, Belapur, Kopar Khairane, Airoli, Sanpada, Kharghar, etc.)

More cities, locations, and municipal territories may be added to our service areas in the future as our logistical operations expand. We reserve the absolute right to reject or cancel any booking requested outside of these active operational regions without any liability.

05

User Responsibilities

As a user of our platform, you are responsible for providing complete, current, and accurate registration, contact, and location details, including complete flat/house markers and landmark indicators. You must ensure that you or an authorized adult representative is present at the designated location during your selected time slot, and that all clothes slated for collection are fully gathered, sorted, and ready for weighing when our logistics team arrives.

06

Booking Rules

All bookings must be submitted through our official online booking portal, mobile application, or approved direct WhatsApp support channels. You must provide a reasonable estimate of the weight and volume of clothes to be picked up. Creating duplicate bookings, booking under false names, or submitting misleading quantity estimates constitutes a material breach of these Terms, and may lead to immediate account suspension.

07

Pickup Scheduling

We make every reasonable effort to arrive within the scheduled time slot chosen during your booking process. However, pickup schedules are estimates and not strict guarantees. Logistical variables, traffic congestion, severe weather conditions, or unexpected vehicle servicing requirements may cause delays. Our team will communicate any scheduling adjustments pro-actively via phone call or WhatsApp.

08

Pickup Cancellation & Rescheduling

Customers can cancel or reschedule an existing doorstep booking up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time window. Cancellations must be performed through our portal or by messaging our WhatsApp coordination desk. While we do not charge a cancellation fee, repetitive last-minute cancellations or failures to be present at the address during the scheduled slot may result in a permanent block on your phone number and address.

09

Accepted & Non-Accepted Items

To maintain safety, hygienic processing, and logistical standards, we apply strict acceptance criteria:

✅ Accepted Items

Wearable garments (shirts, pants, dresses), winters/woolen wear, bedsheets, blankets, curtains, towels, and matching pairs of shoes/footwears.

❌ Non-Accepted Items

Wet or damp clothing, moldy or infested items, fabrics contaminated with oils/chemicals, biological waste, single unmatched footwear, or torn rags.

10

Donation Service

When you opt for our "Donate" service, you voluntarily transfer ownership of your selected clothes to Asha Old Clothes Buyer free of monetary charge. Please note that donated items become part of our commercial collection, sorting, and processing pipelines. These items may be commercially sanitized, graded, and distributed through our commercial secondary reuse networks, processed into industrial wiping rags, processed into acoustic insulation, or handed over to our authorized partner organizations for secondary reuse and social welfare initiatives.

11

Sell Clothes Service

If you select our "Sell" service, you agree to sell your clothes to us at the evaluated spot rate. You understand and accept that our on-site clothing valuation is based strictly on the following parameters:

  • Condition: Physical wearability, level of fading, elasticity, or stretching of the items.
  • Quantity: Total weight of items measured in kilograms using our calibrated digital weighing scale.
  • Category: The ratio of premium high-value wearable items to recycling-grade waste.
  • Market Demand: Prevailing wholesale market value index for secondary garments and recycled raw cotton.
12

Pricing Policy

All pricing, scrap values, and purchasing rates are calculated based on our dynamic price charts, which are published and updated regularly on our Prices page. These prices reflect wholesale textile market indexes. Our on-site representative's physical assessment and weight calculation are final. We do not participate in secondary negotiations or manual bargaining during the doorstep collection process.

13

Payment Terms

Payments for accepted 'Sell' items are disbursed instantly on the spot at your location once the weighing, grading, and valuation are completed. Payments are made through secure digital channels, including UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), instant bank transfers, or physical cash based on your preference and operational cash availability. A digital receipt or confirmation will be issued via WhatsApp.

14

Booking Rejection Policy

Asha Old Clothes Buyer reserves the absolute right to reject any booking or cancel service on the spot. Common reasons for rejection include:

  • Pickup location not serviceable: Requested address falls outside active limits of Thane or Navi Mumbai.
  • Insufficient quantity: Total materials do not reach the minimum threshold weight (usually 20-30 kg).
  • Unsafe location: Environments posing environmental, safety, or health hazards to our field staff.
  • Incorrect information: False registration logs, non-functional phone numbers, or fraudulent address markers.
  • Restricted access: Gated societies or high-security complexes that deny entrance to our collection vehicles.
  • Other operational reasons: Unforeseen logistics disruptions, bad road access, or natural weather disruptions.
15

Customer Responsibilities During Pickup

During physical doorstep collections, customers must ensure safe, unobstructed physical access to their housing society or building. You are responsible for acquiring any gate passes or entry clearance. You must inspect the weighing scale readouts yourself during the evaluation to verify total figures. Our field agents are instructed to operate with high safety protocols and deserve a respectful working environment.
